Hypertune offers RB26 plenums in three main variants. These are referred to as multi-throttle (MT), V1 and V2.
Multi-throttle inlet manifolds are designed to bolt to the factory individual throttle bodies present on all factory RB26 variants, with larger bore runners available for use with after market individual throttle bodies.
V1 plenums bypass the factory issue throttle bodies and bolt directly to the OEM head flange. A single throttle body is located at the inlet to the manifold. This throttle body can be ordered in cable driven or drive by wire configuration.
Multi throttle and and V1 intake manifolds retain the factory head flange meaning coolant flow from the cylinder head is not modified. V2 manifolds replace this head flange and bolt directly to the cylinder head. V2 plenums are only offered in single throttle configuration.
Rerouting of coolant flow out of the cylinder head is required for V2 intake manifolds. Four coolant ports are located at the base of the base of the runners, designed to connect individually to a Hypertune V2 radiator. Three small bleed ports are also present, to be plumbed to a Hypertune header tank. This header tank also connects to the back of the factory water pump allowing the engine to release air pockets.
In applications where a V2 radiator is not present custom lines can be assembled to plumb to an OEM style radiator.
